Add a Quantity/Multiplier Field to Product Pricing

We would like to request an enhancement to the Product Pricing section by adding an additional numeric field between Unit and Term.

Current situation

The current pricing model allows us to define:

  • Price

  • RRP

  • Unit (e.g. device, user, mailbox)

  • Term (e.g. one-time, week, month, quarter, year)

This works well for single-unit, single-term products, but it is difficult to accurately represent products that cover multiple units or multiple terms.

Proposed solution

Add a numeric field (for example Quantity, Multiplier, or Period Count) between Unit and Term.

Example:

PriceUnitQuantityTerm

299

device

3

year

This would be interpreted as:

€299 per device per 3 years

Other examples:

UnitQuantityTerm

user

5

year

mailbox

3

month

device

10

year

Benefits

  • Supports multi-year licensing, subscriptions, warranties, and support contracts.

  • Supports pricing based on multiple users, devices, mailboxes, or other units without requiring product duplication.

  • Maintains backward compatibility by defaulting the new field to 1.

  • Provides greater flexibility without requiring additional values such as "3 years", "5 years", etc. in the Term dropdown.

We believe this small addition would significantly improve the flexibility of the pricing model and better support common MSP, software licensing, and subscription-based products.
