Summary
The customer needs to attach internal-only files (docx, PDF, images) to quotes that remain hidden from end-customers but sync to their PSA's attachment section. Currently, all attachment features in Salesbuildr are customer-facing, forcing internal teams to manage bid documents, user information, and reference materials outside the platform.
Background
Today the customer uploads attachments to quotes via widgets, templates, or directly on the quote object. All of these attachments are visible to end-customers when they view the quote. When internal teams need to reference special bid documents, technical diagrams, user lists, or other supporting materials during quote fulfillment, they must either attach them to PSA records directly (bypassing Salesbuildr) or manage them in separate tools. This creates workflow friction and breaks the connection between the quote and supporting documentation.
What Was Investigated
Not yet investigated. Further discovery needed on how the customer currently manages internal attachments and the frequency of PSA lookups during quote workflows.
The Gap
Salesbuildr lacks an internal-only attachment capability at the quote level. There is no way to attach files that remain invisible to end-customers but are automatically synced to the corresponding PSA record, forcing internal teams to maintain attachments outside Salesbuildr.
Requested Feature
Add a new "Internal Attachments" section or widget on the quote object
Accept file uploads (docx, PDF, images)
Prevent these attachments from appearing on any customer-facing quote view or export
Automatically sync internal attachments to the PSA's attachment section on quote creation or update
Preserve attachment metadata (filename, upload date, uploader) for audit purposes
Support multiple file uploads per quote
Why This Matters
Internal teams need supporting documentation tied to quotes to execute fulfillment workflows in the PSA without context-switching. MSPs managing complex deals with multiple stakeholders rely on shared reference materials. If this isn't built, teams will continue fragmenting attachments across Salesbuildr, PSAs, and external storage, increasing operational overhead and risk of lost context during handoff.
Proposed Priority
Medium. Solves a real workflow gap and improves PSA integration, but the current workaround (attaching to PSA directly) is functional.
