Email: let certain users send out from a default adress and others from themselves

Description:

We want our inside sales to send out from sales@.... but our outside sales to send emails from their own entity.

Expanded context / problem statement:

Right now, Salesbuildr applies a single sending behavior across the entire organization: either everyone sends from their own email address, or everyone sends from a shared default. There is no way to configure this per user or per team.

For many of our customers, these two models need to coexist. Account managers and outside sales reps build personal relationships with their contacts and need quotes to come from their own name and email address. Inside sales or support teams, on the other hand, are often expected to send from a shared inbox like sales@company.com to keep communication centralized and avoid customer confusion when the sending rep is not the main point of contact.

Because we currently force a single global setting, customers have to choose one approach for their entire organization. This creates friction: either account managers lose the personal touch, or inside sales creates a messy experience for customers receiving emails from individual reps they may not recognize.

Proposed behavior:

Allow email sending behavior to be configured at the user or role level, so that:

  • Some users always send from their own email address

  • Other users always send from a configured default/shared address (e.g. sales@company.com)

This could be implemented as a per-user toggle or as a role-based setting within team/user management.
