Exclude Line Items with Quantity 0 from Final PDF/Quote

Feature Request[CMP]_Quotes

Description: It is desirable to have a feature that excludes line items with a quantity of 0 from appearing on the final PDF/quote. This request is not related to the amount but specifically to the quantity.

Use Case: This feature will allow the creation of widgets with products that include all products for Account Managers (AMs) to select from. By default, all products will have a quantity of 0. Only the products that are selected and have a quantity entered by the AMs will appear on the final quote.

Benefits:

Streamlines the quote generation process by displaying only relevant products.
Reduces clutter on the final PDF/quote, making it clearer and more professional.
Enhances efficiency for Account Managers by allowing them to easily select and include only the necessary products.
Implementation:

Modify the PDF/quote generation logic to check the quantity of each line item.
Exclude any line items with a quantity of 0 from the final output.

The idea would be to, instead of automatically 'hide' such zero-quantity items (because e.g. with multiple choice options under products this can cause issues) we would opt for this solution: Once you finalize a quote, if it contains items with quantity '0' a message will appear offering these options: "your quote contains items with quantity '0'. Please select one of the following options:" 1) Click 'cancel' to go back to the quote editor 2) Save the quote as it is and keep the items with quantity '0' 3) Automatically remove all items with quantity '0' from the quote and save. Please see the attachment as an example.

    **Joey Zegwaard** (2025-01-07): Thanks for the suggestion! The idea of showing a message when finalizing a quote with items that have a quantity of '0' sounds great. Another useful feature could be adding a setting in the quote options to let users decide if these zero-quantity items should be visible or hidden to customers. The options could be: Hidden from the customer Visible to the customer I've attached a screenshot of the current option I'm comparing this to. Do you think this is doable?

    **Victor Raessen** (2025-01-16): Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately this will not be a viable solution to present different versions of the same quote to different audiences. It will likely drive confusion and in the end, these hidden items should be processed somewhere, somehow so they will end up on an invoice, in a PO or a ticket. So the option that would work is either there are products with quantity '0' on a quote and we show them, or we remove those.
