Storefront landing page editor: non-blocking layout and basic formatting controls
Summary Customers need to edit their storefront landing/home page with full formatting control and a non-blocking interface. Today, the editor overlays panels that obscure the content being edited, and it lacks basic formatting tools like font selection, color controls, and a formatting toolbar, making edits difficult and unprofitable for resellers managing multiple storefronts.
Background Resellers customize their storefront landing pages to reflect their brand and messaging. During editing, they need to see the live result of text and image changes in real time. Currently, the editor slides out panels that cover the page content, forcing users to guess how their edits look. They also cannot access formatting options that are available in other Salesbuildr modules, leading to confusion about capability and limitations.
The Gap The landing page editor lacks:
A non-blocking interface that does not obscure the content being edited
Font family and size selection
Text color and background color controls
A visible formatting toolbar
Access to source code or HTML editing
Real-time or side-by-side preview of changes
These controls exist elsewhere in Salesbuildr, creating inconsistency and frustration.
Requested Feature The landing page editor should:
Display editing controls in a sidebar or dock that does not overlap the page being edited
Provide a formatting toolbar with font, size, color, and text alignment options
Allow users to see the page content and edits simultaneously
Include an optional source/code view for advanced users
Match the editing experience and feature parity of other modules in Salesbuildr
Why This Matters Resellers invest time customizing storefronts to drive sales and brand loyalty. A clunky editor wastes their time, discourages personalization, and leaves storefronts generic or incomplete. This directly impacts their ability to convert end-customer traffic and justify Salesbuildr's value.
Proposed Priority Medium-High. The landing page is a high-touch asset for resellers, but the current workaround (live editing despite difficulty) means business continues; fixing this removes a friction point and enables better brand control.
