What is the problem you are trying to solve?
In Salesbuilder, default settings like "Is Serialized," "Is eligible for RMA," and "Does not require procurement" are automatically applied when creating products. These settings are often incorrect, causing issues (e.g., products wrongly marked as serialized). These errors are only noticed during booking in Autotask, leading to extra work and corrections.
In your mind, what does the feature look like?
Three possible solutions:
Make these options blank by default, forcing users to select values.
Add a short wizard to guide users in configuring these settings before saving a product.
Allow product settings to be configured at the product category level, so default values are applied correctly based on the category when creating new products.

It will reduce errors, save time, and improve efficiency by ensuring settings are correct from the start.
