[Marketplace] [Dicker Data] Support monthly pricing for Microsoft NCE annual commitment products
Description
When we import Microsoft NCE products from the Dicker Data feed through the Marketplace, annual commitment products come in with the annual price and the Term set to one-time. Many of these licenses are an annual commitment billed monthly, which is how we sell them to our customers. Salesbuildr has no way to show the monthly price for these products, so we have to work it out and enter it ourselves.
Current behaviour
The Dicker feed only provides the stock code, MPN, description, vendor, categories, cost (DealerEx), list price (RRPEx), stock and ETA. It doesn’t include a billing frequency or a monthly price.
The commitment and billing details in the MPN (for example “P1Y:...”) are stored as text but not read.
Changing the Term on the product from one-time or year to month only changes the label. The price stays the same, so the annual amount is shown as a monthly price and the yearly value becomes 12 times too high.
To quote monthly, we have to divide the Price and Cost by 12 manually and enter them again every time Dicker updates the price. If the product is linked to our PSA as a service, the price fields are locked and we can’t do this at all.
Desired behaviour
When the Term on a Dicker NCE product is changed from year to month, Salesbuildr should convert the price automatically (divide by 12) for both Price and Cost, and keep doing so when the feed updates.
Optionally, read the commitment and billing term from the MPN (for example P1Y, P1M) on import and set the Term and the Product or Service type to match.
Impact
Every Dicker Microsoft subscription needs manual price changes, and these have to be repeated after every price update from Dicker. This is error prone, and the risk is quoting customers 12 times the correct yearly amount. It affects any partner who buys Microsoft licenses through Dicker Data, which is common in Australia and New Zealand.
Current workarounds
Set the Term to year and quote the annual amount as a yearly price.
Enter the monthly Price and Cost manually after each Dicker price change.
Use Pax8 or CloudFactory for Microsoft licenses, since these provide billing and commitment terms as separate variants. This is a different catalogue and isn’t an option for partners who buy through Dicker.

Dicker NCE products coming in as annual with a one-time term, and changing the term only relabelling without converting the price, is a real problem because it can show an amount 12 times too high. The feed does not send a monthly price or billing term today, so reading the commitment from the MPN and converting the price is a bigger piece of marketplace work. It has no votes yet, so I am leaving it open. There is a related card with more votes, "Option to Automatically Display Annual Subscription Prices as Monthly Prices"; upvoting that one helps show the demand for annual to monthly handling.
