We've traced a recurring pricing discrepancy issue back to a specific sequence.
Steps to reproduce
A product is added to a quote from the marketplace for the first time, with dynamic pricing pulling cost from the distributor feed.
The product syncs into PSA, where PSA stores a price for that item.
The user runs "Synchronize products and services" in Salesbuildr.
The sync pulls the price from PSA and writes it into the product as an explicit price/cost, overriding the dynamic distributor pricing.
Expected behaviour
Pricing should remain dynamic wherever possible. Running the products and services sync from PSA should not convert a dynamically priced product into one with an explicit, static price.
Actual behaviour
The explicit price/cost fields get populated as a side effect of the PSA sync itself, not from any manual action by the customer, and this permanently disables dynamic pricing for that product until someone notices and manually clears the fields.
Impact
Customers end up quoting stale distributor pricing with no visible indication of why, since the explicit price/cost fields don't show as sync-caused. This is already generating support cases (a customer recently found a distributor cost price nearly 30 percent below the real trade price because of this), and the current workaround (clearing explicit price/cost via bulk editor) isn't discoverable without contacting support.
