Description: When we apply a discount to a line item in the quote editor, the original price displays crossed out with the discounted price below it. We want the ability to hide the crossed-out original price from the customer's view of the quote, while keeping it visible in our internal quote editor. Currently, the only way to hide the original price from the customer is to set it equal to the discounted price, which removes the visibility of what discount was applied on our side as well.
Use case: We need to offer discounts while maintaining internal visibility of the original pricing. Some customers find the crossed-out original price off-putting or confusing, so we want the option to show them only the final price β while our sales team still sees the original price and discount internally to track what pricing changes were made and why.
Proposed solution: A toggle in the quote pricing editor to hide the discount display (crossed-out original price) from the customer-facing quote while keeping it visible in the internal editor view.
Expected benefit: Discounts that meet customer pricing expectations without sticker shock, while the team retains full visibility of pricing decisions for reporting and analysis.
