Current behaviour The catalog page shows a cost price sourced from one distributor (the preferred/cheapest eligible one) and a stock count that is a total summed across all connected distributors. The two figures can refer to entirely different suppliers, giving a misleading impression that a product is both affordable and immediately available when in reality they are separate data points.
Desired behaviour The stock count shown next to the price should reflect the inventory of the distributor the price comes from β not an aggregate total. This ensures the price and the availability always refer to the same source.
Why this matters
When building quotes or assessing delivery times, it is essential to quickly see whether the cheapest option is also immediately available. The current display creates the impression that a product is both affordable and in stock, when in reality those two data points refer to two different distributors. This can lead to incorrect expectations with customers regarding both price and delivery time.
